Speech pathologists with Rutherford County Schools recently collected items for a gift basket full of goodies that was given away through a lottery drawing for anyone who gave a donation.

All proceeds from the basket will benefit the Rutherford County CDC prom in the spring, which will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel for all students in CDC classes.

The basket contest raised $686 and was won by Principal Steve Luker.

Students from Siegel High School helped draw the basket winner on Thursday, Dec. 16.
