Murfreesboro businessman and firearms manufacturer Ronnie G. Barrett was elected to the Board of Directors for the 4.5 million member National Rifle Association. The founder and CEO of Barrett Firearms Manufacturing took the oath of office during the NRA annual meeting in Phoenix, which attracted over 65,000 NRA members, becoming the largest convention in Arizona history.
As one of the top vote getters in the membership balloting, Barrett has been a gun enthusiast for almost all his life, and has been an advocate for the Second Amendment for many years, appearing on national radio and television programs and quoted in major publications.
Barrett Firearms Manufacturing has 120 employees from the Rutherford County area, and accounts for nearly 250 support jobs in Tennessee.
Headquartered near Washington, D.C, the National Rifle Association is America’s oldest civil rights organization with a mission to preserve and defend the United States Constitution, especially the right to keep and bear arms guaranteed by the Second Amendment. NRA was established in 1871.
