The identities of two men are being sought by detectives after they stole credit cards and used the cards last month at Murfreesboro and Smyrna businesses, according to officials from the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office.

The suspects spoke to one victim before stealing her credit cards from her car that was parked Sept. 9 at the Stones River Greenway near the Stones River Battlefield, Detective Jerremy Weaver reported.

They used the stolen credit cards about 15 minutes later at the Walgreen’s Pharmacy located on Medical Center Parkway. They left in an older-model, sage green, four-door Honda Accord.

Walgreen’s employees notified Weaver after the same suspects used an unknown victim’s credit cards Sept. 16 at the same store.

In a related case, Smyrna Police Detective Allan Nabours said the suspects allegedly tried to buy two $100 gift cards and electronic equipment using stolen credit cards Sept. 15 at Target off Sam Ridley Parkway in Smyrna. The credit cards were stolen in Nashville.

They left in a silver BMW convertible with a black rack top, Nabours said.

People who have information about the suspects are asked to call the Criminal Investigations Division, a division of the Sheriff's Office, at 615-904-3038.
