The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing Kentucky man with medical illnesses who disappeared Sunday off Burks Hollow Road, just south of Murfreesboro.
Friends notified the authorities Tuesday evening that Louisville resident Ethan Wolf Bendl, 20, was picked up from his home Saturday and brought to a Big Springs Road residence, said Sgt. Monica Fonseca from the Sheriff’s Office.
Witnesses reported Bendl and his friends were drinking beer Sunday when he walked away to go to the bathroom and never returned.
Bendl suffers from multiple medical problems, and his father, who lives in Texas, arrived earlier this week to search for his son, who is unfamiliar with Rutherford County, said Lisa Marchesoni, public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office, in a press release.
His shoes were found on Burks Hollow Road, and deputies are continuing to search the area with two tracking K-9s and a four-wheeler, Marchesoni said.
“It’s fairly urgent we find him particularly because of health issues,” Fonseca said.
Bendl is described as a white male, who is about 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs an estimated 175 pounds, and he has brown hair and eyes.
“He just shaved his head, so he probably has stubble on his head and face,” Marchesoni said. “He was last seen wearing a dark-colored, short-sleeved shirt and brown overalls. He is supposed to wear glasses.”
Marchesoni said Bendl has a tattoo of a wolf on his right arm and the words “bite” and “barks” tattooed on his knuckles, as well as a tattoo of a pair of dice on his calf.
Anyone with information about Bendl’s whereabouts is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office immediately at 615-898-7770. |
