Aubery Vanatta, 83, of Murfreesboro passed away Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Mr. Vanatta was born in Smithville to the late John and Lillian Vanatta. He was employed at Powermatic for 26 years and was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church.
Mr. Vanatta was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Jovonne Carter Vanatta; daughter, Wanda (Loyd) Rigsby of Smithville; step-daughter, Tonda (Thomas) Wright of Whitehouse; step-son, Rod (Dawn) House of College Grove; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and half-sister, Helen Simmons of McMinnville.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, November 29, 2009 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Monday, November 30, 2009 at 11:00am at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Pastor Curt Wagoner and Bro. John Upchurch officiating. Burial to follow at Banks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers family ask for memorial donations be made to Caris Hospice.
