The Arts Center of Cannon County stages the longest-running musical in the world, The Fantasticks, Sept. 16-25 in Woodbury.
This timeless, comedic fable of two young lovers motivated by their feuding fathers and the wall they erected to keep their children apart.
Once the children discover their fathers’ distaste for one another is nothing but a ruse to spark their romance, the bond is strained as each journeys from home to experience a greater world.
Follow their journey from first love through lost love and finally to true love. Told in part by memorable songs, the score features the beloved hits "Try to Remember," "Soon It's Gonna Rain" and "They Were You."
The Fantasticks is directed by Dr. Darryl Deason with music direction by Becky Hayes. The show includes Arts Center veteran actors Gerald Melton, Gayle Tate, Donald Fann, Hayden Bryson, Joe Bosnak and Cody Rutledge with Chloe Madigan and Will Duke rounding out the cast.
