The Center for the Arts is proud to announce Backstage Bash, a distinctive fundraising block party to be held March 20 at the Center and on College Street in Murfreesboro. The Backstage Bash committee invites you to put on your favorite jeans or formal attire and join them for an evening of food and entertainment.
The event chaired by David and Brook LaRoche and Lee and Rebecca Upton begins with dinner at 6 p.m. and features the Tyrone Smith Revue taking the stage at 8 p.m.
“College Street will be closed in front of the Center and tented for the occasion,” says Upton. “Our goal is for this to become an annual event that people are excited to attend.” “The money raised will be used to continue bringing visual and performing arts to Murfreesboro for both children and adults,” says LaRoche.
A silent auction focused on local artists will also be held during the Backstage Bash.
Presenting sponsors for the event are Dempsey Vantrease & Follis, Wiser Co., Nissan of Murfreesboro, Venture Express and First Tennessee Bank. Media sponsors are The Daily News Journal and The Murfreesboro Post.
Ticket prices for dinner and the concert is $100. Concert only tickets are also available for $35. For additional information, visit www.boroarts.org or call 904-ARTS.
