| The Murfreesboro Police Department arrested a juvenile for recklessly shooting an arrow into a crowd of people at Siegel Elementary School on Friday, Sept. 23.
The juvenile turned himself in to authorities after hearing of the incident on the news, said Detective Mike Taylor, who is in charge of the investigation.
After interviewing the juvenile, it was determined the incident was an accident and there was no intention to shoot the arrow into the crowd.
The juvenile was taken into custody in the late afternoon Monday at the Rutherford County Juvenile Detention Center on the charge of reckless endangerment.
His detention hearing in juvenile court was Wednesday and he was released to the custody of his parents and was instructed to obey household rules.
He was also ordered by the court to attend a “hunter safety course.” His next appearance in Juvenile court is scheduled for Dec. 5. |
