Arrest made in Lytle Creek murder

Murfreesboro Police responded to Lytle Creek near the railroad tracks to investigate a person found deceased on Monday.

The person was not immediately identified but was later confirmed to be Emad Kadhim Al Azraki, who was homless. The State Medical Examiner’s Office performed a post mortem examination which determined the manner of death to be Homicide.

During the investigation, facts and evidence revealed that Charles Lee Warner, also homeless, was responsible for the intentional and premeditated murder of Al Azraki. A warrant for first degree murder was obtained and Warner was arrested without incident in Nashville by MPD detectives with the assistance of Metro Nashville Police Department.
