A March 19 hearing was set Friday for the co-defendant in the Walmart parking lot double murder case.
Demetrius Coleman, 21, of Chicago, was arraigned before General Sessions Judge David Loughry on first-degree murder charges in connection with the Jan. 29 shooting deaths of Andre Chesterfield and Latre Lillard of Murfreesboro.
Also charged in the double murder is his brother, Danarius “Chicago” Coleman, 19, of Double Tree Lane in Antioch. Bond was previously set for him at $750,000.
The bloodied bodies of Chesterfield and Lillard were found lying in the store parking lot next to their vehicle after a Murfreesboro Police officer was called to the scene that night.
The older Coleman was arrested in Chicago last month by Murfreesboro Police Violent Crimes detectives working with Chicago Violent Crimes Task Force and Chicago Police. The younger Coleman was arrested by Murfreesboro’s Violent Crimes Unit and Gang Unit in Antioch with the help of the Metro Nashville Police SWAT team without incident.
