Two robbers detained four people at gunpoint and placed a gun against a pizza deliverer’s back during separate crimes Wednesday, Murfreesboro Police reported.

Victims Travis Brown, Joseph Thornton, Stephanie Thomas and Zack Roach reported two men entered the apartment and pointed a handgun at them during a robbery about 12:37 p.m. at Campus Crossing South on South Rutherford Boulevard, Officer Anthony Skok reported.

The suspects demanded their belongings and held them at gunpoint until they got Brown’s cell phone valued at $200.

They described the suspects as one black man about 6 feet tall and weighing about 275 pounds. The second man was described as a black or light-skinned man about 5-foot-8 and weighing about 140 pounds. He wore a goatee. He carried a chrome pistol.

In another robbery, Officer Matt Stern reported a Pizza Hut delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on Ballater Drive near St. Andrews Drive.

When he knocked at the door, he heard a pistol cock and a voice ask, “Where’s the money?” Stern reported.

“He felt the pistol push against his back as he handed the money behind him,” Stern reported.

Three men took off running with $20 from Pizza Hut, $10 from the deliverer and a Pizza Hut bag with two pizzas and two liters of soft drinks.

People with information about the robberies are asked to call the Criminal Investigations Division at 893-2717 or Crime Stoppers at 893-STOP between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
