Woodland Group, Inc., an Applebee’s franchise in Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky, is asking customers to order carry out at their local Applebee’s to benefit local animal charities.
The event, Paws for Carside, runs on Mondays and Tuesday through June 24, at Applebee’s of Murfreesboro. During the promotion, the restaurant will donate 10 percent of Carside To-Go sales to local organizations working to care for animals and find them good homes.
In Murfreesboro, the 12th annual Paws for Carside will benefit Rutherford County Paws.
The proceeds will support this animal charity in supplying food, medical supplies, housing and basic necessities for local animals that have been abused, neglected, or are simply in need of tender love and care.
In addition to raising money for food and supplies, Rocky Hill, vice president of operations at Woodland Group, says he hopes Paws for Carside will help raise awareness of animal abuse and neglect.
“Our Paws partners are doing great work in our community to place animals in caring and loving homes each day,” Hill said. “Their passion and the generosity of our customers makes Paws for Carside a meaningful event for the pet owners and animal lovers on our team.”
Hill says guests are encouraged to bring their pets to pick up their Carside To-Go orders and share photos of their pets on the local Applebee’s Facebook page throughout the promotion.
