Anita Faye Black, age 58, of Smyrna, passed away on January 3, 2010 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. She was a native of Hytop, Alabama. She resided in Smyrna, Tennessee, where she was a homemaker and a member of Smyrna Holiness Church for 33 years.
Faye was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Wesley Parker; and daughter, Lisa Dawn Black. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Glen Black, to whom she was married for thirty-seven years; mother, Margaret Culver Parker of Scottsboro, AL; daughters, Kimberly Black of Murfreesboro, Bethany (Cory) Walker of Scottsboro, AL, and Tamara (Justin) Hildreth of Antioch, TN; brother, Ron (Marsha) Parker of Murfreesboro; sister, Robin Kirby of Huntsville, AL and four grandchildren, Sierra-Dawn, Courtney, Peyton and Jarett.
A church service for Faye will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Smyrna Holiness Church with Rev. Pat Coffey & Rev. Shirley Byrum officiating. Interment will follow church service at Hytop Cemetery in Scottsboro, AL. Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Smyrna Holiness Church, 406 W. Jefferson Pike, Smyrna, TN.
