Americana awards to premiere on PBS

The Americana Music Association’s music festival and honors awards are set to premiere in a special episode on PBS stations nationwide on Nov. 19.

The program titled "ACL Presents: Americana Music Festival" will feature highlights from the show including performances from Robert Plant, Lucinda Williams, Gregg Allman, Amos Lee, The Avett Brothers and The Civil Wars plus more.

Jim Lauderdale hosted the show with an all-star backing band that included Buddy Miller, Don Was and Cody Dickinson and Luther Dickinson of North Mississippi Allstars among others.
