Lifeguard Ambulance Service has received the prestigious accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services for its compliance with national standards of excellence.
Out of nearly 230 ambulance services in Tennessee, Lifeguard Ambulance Service is only the second to receive this accreditation in the state and is the first in Middle Tennessee. In addition, throughout the United States, there are more than 15,250 ambulance companies, and according to the CAAS website, only 155 of those are accredited.
The Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services is a nonprofit organization, established to encourage and promote quality patient care in America’s medical transportation system.
“The accreditation process looks into the interworking parts of the ambulance agency and ensures every element is of the highest quality,” Lifeguard Chief Operating Officer Brett Jovanovich said. “Through the CAAS process, new and innovative policies and procedures have been put into place and will trigger monitoring and measuring of enhanced operational efficiency, productivity, clinical quality and customer satisfaction.”
Lifeguard Ambulance provides services to Nashville, Murfreesboro, Franklin and the surrounding communities throughout Middle Tennessee. Additionally, Lifeguard is the contracted ambulance provider for the Tennessee Valley VA Health System, as well as a contracted partner for the TriStar Health System.
