People who don't keep their firearms secured deserve to be burglarized -- and should be held responsible if a crime is committed with one of those stolen firearms.

Yeah, pass a law to that effect. That should stop those pesky burglars. So your also sayings that if said burglar cracks somebody over the head with that Wii system then the rightful owner should be held accountable as well correct?

A Wii system isn't manufactured to kill. A gun is, and gun owners should take that responsibility seriously. This guy obviously didn't.

That list represents $9K in merchandise?
I would LOVE to see the receipts that will provided to cover the $9K for the insurance...ROFLMAO!
I suppose there is no penalty for filing false information on a police report.

Last time I checked anything in a locked house would be considered "Secured".

Fitzcomm, if someone steals a baseball bat, hammer, kitchen knife, golf club, pool cue, etc. and uses it to commit a crime should they also be held liable?

Stop blaming the victims for everything the criminals do you liberal idiots. If there were harsher punishments for crimes like these, then maybe there would be less crime.

Thats right BoltAction they need to quit blaming the victims.

Hmmm, I don't remember reading in the article that the guns/house wasn't secured.

So let's say he was home and had the guns secured and wanted to use them for protection. So now he's got to go through his house (with a burglar in it), go to the gun safe, unlock it and then he can protect himself? That doesn't work for me.

Fitzcomm, your statement is absolutely ridiculous.

and BoltAction; I love how anyone you disagree with is a "liberal idiot". A stupid comment and poor judgment doesn't make someone "liberal". An idiot, maybe, but not necessarily liberal.
