Alberta Mills Mullett, age 93, of Murfreesboro, went home to heaven on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007 after a short illness.
She was the daughter of the late Boyd Minard and Agnes Mae Rizor Mills of Andover, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elmer and her beloved son, Tom who died earlier this year. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Harry Mills as well as her grandson, Steven Wax.
Mrs. Mullett is survived by her younger brother Kenneth Mills and by her devoted daughter, Birdie Lou (Nevin) Wax of Murfreesboro; Her surviving grandchildren are Kevin (Rhonda) Wax, Karen (Chris) Gerbman of Murfreesboro, and Peggy (Hugh) McCoy of Alanta, Ga. She leaves 9 Great grandchildren, Trevin (Corina) Wax, Justin (Bethany) Wax, Paul Rust, Tiffany (Brannon) Mangus, Mandy (Morgan) Flagler, Austen McCoy, Taylor Rust, Weston Wax and Lauren McCoy and one great- great grandson, Timothy Kyle Wax.
The funeral service will be 5 p.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mike Norris officiating. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m.. The graveside service will be 2 p.m. EST Friday at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron, Ohio. Great grandson Pastor Trevin Wax will officiate at the graveside.
Mrs. Mullett was a faithful member of Franklin Road Baptist Church where she loved to sing in the choir and a resident of Stones River Manor. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Franklin Road Christian School or the building fund of Franklin Road Baptist Church.
