Hazen's Monument at Stones River Battlefield
Thanks to the efforts of National Park Service employees and equipment from Big South Fork National Recreation Area, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Mammoth Cave National Park and Natchez Trace Parkway, visitor access to many Stones River Battlefield areas has been restored.

All park areas with exception of some trails are now open to the public. Visitors should expect periodic closures of areas that are now open because of ongoing long-term recovery efforts.

Areas that are closed will be marked with signs, barriers and/or orange barrier tape. Please do not enter these areas since they still present serious safety hazards.

Individuals who enter closed areas will be fined. Recovering from twister damage is being charted online at www.nps.gov/stri/parkmgmt/tornado.htm.
