AGAIN...I sure am glad we keep passing all these easy access to guns laws in Tennessee! I know, I know... guns don't kill people. Children of rednecks with gun collections kill people.

AGAIN...I don't see where your coming from thinkingman. I don't think your thinking to clearly. And Stereotyping gun owners as rednecks won't get you far in Tennessee! Defend your statement? You can't! No new law makes it any easier to get a gun than before. Just it allows us to carry our weapons like our constitutional rights say we can!

Either the kid was lucky or he was taught how to handle a firearm safely by his parents. Teach your kids how to handle a firearm and what to do if they find one. There are plenty of resources that can help you. Even if you don't own guns it could save your childs life.

Another safe place for legal permit holders not to carry there weapons. Good luck to all your children.

Fine way to open up all the doors for the criminals who dont care about the law huh? Thanks Tennessee!

BoltAction, that is the smartest thing I've heard anyone say on any of these comments about guns. Teach then to respect guns while they are young. As for Thinkingman, wow, I bet you've never been called shortsighted before?

maybe the gun accidently fell out of the pocket of someone licensed to carry a concealed weapon. You never know!

The gun was likely dumped. And luckily it was found by a child who had obviously been taught well by his parents.

I agree, it was likely dumped. Especially considering the area of town it was found in. Oh by the way those guns have serial numbers on them, so the police will know who it is registered to. Or who it was stolen from. Actually I have one of those, they are very low cost, mine was $55.

This family is smart. They got rid of the gun immediately. People who feel it vital to carry their guns to parks and bars should do the same.

I'm sick of these stupid gun complaints. The only reason anyone would have a reason to whine about this is if the police and the newspaper DIDN'T report this.

The police took the gun and no one was hurt. If someone could explain the ridiculous notion that our police and politicians don't care about laws, that would be amazing.

When the Libs take away all our guns, then only the criminals will have guns. The Second Ammendment gives us the right to keep and bear arms, and by definition, most of the gun laws are unconstitutional. Look at what the Supreme Court said about the Washington DC gun law.
