Discovery Center is pleased to announce Murfreesboroâ€™s Second Annual Shakesbeer event, which will take place on Friday, May 2 from 7-10 p.m. at Discovery Center.
Beer enthusiasts from Murfreesboro and surrounding areas will enjoy samples of craft beer from around the mid-state, and entertainment will include live performances from the Murfreesboro Little Theatre featuring scenes from the great works of William Shakespeare. Food trucks such as Delta Bound and Rolling Feast will have food for purchase. Proceeds benefit the Discovery Center.
Breweries participating in the event include (but are not limited to): Electric Avenue Brewing Company, Hart Family Brewers, Mayday Brewery, Mid-State Brew Crew, Oâ€™Possumâ€™s, Panther Creek Brews, Short Mountain Distillery, Turtle Anarchy Brewing Company Tickets are on sale now at explorethedc.org/shakesbeer. Presale tickets are $30 and tickets the day of the event are $35. A ticket includes one commemorative glass, tastings from all vendors and performances by Murfreesboro Little Theatre. A designated driver ticket is also available for $10.
Guests must be 21 years or older to enter the event. All ticket holders will need to show a valid driverâ€™s license for entrance to the event. Overflow parking with shuttle service will be available at the City Parking Lot on Church Street across from the WGNS building.
Serving more than 130,000 children and families each year, the Discovery Center is a non-profit youth museum dedicated to inspiring exploration, enhancing learning, and building confidence through diverse programs and exhibits.
