| Doctor finds bone near downtown square A doctor found what was believed to be a child’s upper arm bone in an alley Wednesday in downtown Murfreesboro, police reported. Dr. Tim Sprague of Southern Hills Medical Center reported he found the bone believed to be from a 7- to 10-year-old child in an alley between West Main Street and Walnut Street, Officer Travis Henderson reported. | Kids give up candy, write letters to soldiers About 50 kids earned some extra cash Thursday when dentist Dr. Beth Keen paid $1 per pound for extra Halloween candy. Dr. Keen gave the children flashing toothbrushes while Toot’s donated T-shirts and gift certificates. Reeves-Sain gave away soda/milkshake tokens and a Hello Kitty fan for a door prize.
